Making sculptures
Working with clay, stone and wood

4 - 11 August 2013
Arrival Sunday 4 August - Departure Sunday 11 August 2013

Artist/teacher

Peer Besselink works as a sculpture since 1989 and created his own enterprise in design and carpentry. After ten years living in Norway (1996 to 2006) he returned to the Netherlands where he graduated in 2010 as a teacher in fine arts at the Miverva Academy for Visual Arts in Groningen. In his art work elementary materials as wood, stone and metals come together in a newly created reality with the force of simplicity. Next to his work as a sculptor he is a teacher of fine arts and techniques at the Werkman College in Groningen and he offers workshops sculpture in his Atelier Peer&Boom (Workshop Pear&Tree). In his way of working he gives space to the participants for their authenticity and initiative.
